Description: The National Center for Research Resources (NCRR) of the National Institutes of Health supports centers to develop tools and infrastructure for the biomedical community. Researchers from several NCRR centers will present projects and demonstrate software tools to address problems in biomedical computing. This activity is coordinated by the National Biomedical Computation Resource.

Facilities:

50" plasma screen, laptop, 17" LCD monitor, chairs, cabinet, tables, power strips, posters and stands. 20'x20' booth.

There will be three separate demo, presentations areas:
to ensure adequate time to demonstrate your projects, and interact with other researchers and users.

Posters will show nicely on the 50" plasma screen if you have it in PDF or PPT.

The Rocks Cluster Development Group will provide a 4x5 tiled display running off a 10-node Rocks cluster for the booth. The tiled display is sponsored by Hewlett Packard.

Configuration: single Opteron 2.4 GHz processor, Nvidia Quadro FX500 Graphics Accelerator, 1 GB RAM, 80 GB disk, 1 DVD-ROM/CD-RW.

Please contact Wilfred if you have special equipment requirements. If you plan to install software onto the cluster, it's highly recommended that you bring it on your own CD or DVD.
