The IUPS Satellite Meeting for the Physiome Project
March 28th – 30th, 2005
The Catamaran Resort Hotel, San Diego, CA
This two-day satellite meeting is sponsored by the National Biomedical Computation Resource (NBCR) and the Physiome and Bioengineering Committee of the International Union of Physiological Sciences (IUPS). It will be held in San Diego’s Mission Bay, 15 minutes from downtown San Diego, venue of the 2005 International Congress of Physiological Sciences (March 31st – April 5th) and Experimental Biology 2005 (April 2nd – 6th, 2005).
As databases of biological structure and function grow, there is an increasing demand for computational methods that integrate information from diverse sources, reconstruct biological networks, predict the physiological functions of cellular networks, and integrate structurally across scales of biological organization from molecule to organism.
An outstanding group of invited speakers will speak in sessions ranging from Bioinformatics, Systems Biology, Metabolic Engineering and Computational Cell Biology to Multiscale Models of Tissue, Organ and Whole Body Electrophysiology, Metabolism and Mechanics in health and diseases. The program is available online, also in PDF format. All participants are invited to submit posters that can be displayed throughout the meeting.
For a single participant, the registration rate of US$600 includes the scientific sessions, conference meals and social events, and three nights accommodation at the beautiful beachfront Catamaran Resort Hotel. Participants sharing a room may register at $400 each. Accompanying persons staying in a registered participant’s room may register for conference meals and social events for $200. These great rates are guaranteed for satellite meeting participants & their guests only. Space is limited.
